Did you know?

Ok so over the past few days Sarah and I have been working on a small religion project. Well 'small' is an understatement in our case! We got so into it! haha. We had to choose one of the 7 Millenium Development Goals and write facts about it, with pictures etc..  We choose gender equality. We spent more time than intended on it! and added in all kinds of coloured paper.I had a great idea to make a 'did you know?' flap:) whuich looked really cool on the poster. We then presented it to the class and it is now on the wall of room 23:D so proud. LOL
Still working at projects in Geography, science, mini company, tech and home ec so that will keep us all busy:L Really enjoying doing them:)

Special shoutout to my school chums NOMAD& FITZER:D

Scrubs Vs Suckers!

Hey Nomad,

This year in TY we are all entering the BT young scientist competition:) We were split into groups straight away to start working on good ideas that would get us through to the RDS:) Sarah and Sally are in my group , which is great because we could choose our groups and they are people I can work well with:) After a few weeks of thinking of project titles we could do we finally came up with an idea "scrubs vs suckers". Congrats to Sally on that one!:D hahaha. Its a project about the effects of itcheotherapy , ( when fish 'suck' on your feet'!) compared to a normal foot scrub. I think this is an interesting title because I don't know alot about the treatment and its cheap enough to do aswell:) Hopefully it's enough for us to get through to the rds, fingers crossed! We are in the middle of our one page proposal , hopefully the judges find it convincing!

results buzzzzz!

After an exhausting 2 days at carlingford , our long awaited junior cert results were out on wednesday at lunchtime. Not going to lie , ide never ever been so nervous! The day coulden't have gone slower until we heard that anouncement from Ms Smith telling us it was time to go down to the hall to get our results!
Everyone was just a bag of nerves but excited at the same time! I have to say I was extremly happy with my results and excited to say NO MORE JUNIORR CERT EVEEEEEER.! wow that feels good to say that!
Me and my freinds then went off to time on wednesday night and had a blast of a night:D Well thats all I havto say..  I shall return soooon
shlaaaaaaan

Carlingford:D

On Sunday night we were all excited to get up at 6AM for the bus to carlingford! Yes as weird as that sounds , I was willing to get up that early.. We arrived at Carlingford at about 9 and got divided up into our teams that we would be doing various challanges with throughout the 2 days:) I loved my group , it was the best buzz ever! woooo
We then got stuck in straight to the activites , the first ones we did were sort of teamwork challanges which were great fun:D they included going into a pitch dark maze called 'communication breakdown' with my team  and we had to find our way out, with great difficulty and our codenames 'penguins' 'peacocks' and 'elephants'. Our instructer wayne made a bet with our team that we wouldent win all our challanges , if we didnt win we would all have to eat our dinner with our hands , if we did win he had to, unfortunetly we lost the bet and we had to eat with our faces which was quite awkward but funny at the same time:)
After that we went out to the forest and did lasers , this was so much fun and I really enjoyed that definitely one of my favourites despite being unexplainily exhausted and in great need of a nap! (Emilys a witness to that.) To finish off the first day in carlingford we got our rooms which I loved cos we were away from the centre and I got to share a room with all my friends:) We went on a nightline walk which was good crack in the forest again , this time when it was pretty dark and blindfolded which was fun:D After that then we went back to the common room and had the bant with another boys school which was a blast:)
After  an hilarious sleepless night, we headed down to the centre for breakfast and start another day in carlingford:) This time we started off with orienteering. We had to walk up the mountains, up steep hills and through little rivers and search for letters to crack a code at the end of the hike. If the trip has thought me anything , its that Im so scared of sheep! sheepophobia , if thats a word?:S To finish off our trip we did rock climbing and absailing, the sound of this did not sound fun because i dont like heights! It was suprisingly so good though and I even got to the top! YAAAY!
Sadly it was time to come home:( Safe to say it was the best possible way to start TY off:) Definitley a a great 2 days to remember!

Hey Nomad,
On wednesday our class Fodla had a social devepment day in the library, it was a great day and i learned alot about myself and my personality. It was a good oppurtunity to get to know everyone a bit better in my class and learn all about their personalitys aswell :) We set goals for ty, like what we wanted to get out of ty most people said fun and to bond closer as a group. We did alot of teamwork which involved splitting up into groups based on what type of personality you have , this was really fun and interesting to see :) On Monday we are off to Carlingford , Im so excited, should be great crack :) We'll be back on Tuesday evening until then, bye for now :D
